Teaching privately over the past 20 years, Hugh has worked with trumpet players of all ages and ability levels. From starting young people out on their journey with the horn to getting adults reacquainted with the joy of playing a brass instrument. Highlights include taking a group of middle school students to perform at the International Trumpet Guild conference, giving a masterclass/workshop with the brass students at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and performing outreach concerts for inner city schools with the Metro Brass Quintet.
